Carnage

heaps of disembowelled and desiccated bodies are strewn along the path
late arrivals feast on the remains
the trail of tiny blue poisonous pellets leads all the way to the back door

(Slugs and snails seem to be becoming a regular theme here)

  1. I'm not a fan of slug pellets but sometimes they are a necessary evil - they are harmful to other creatures too, including hedgehogs(and these are in decline). Encourage hedgehogs into your garden and they will keep the slugs under control without pellets!
